NAVTTC-UNHCR Skill Development Program
NAVTTC and UNHCR began their collaboration in 2018 with the launch of the “Cohort: Jobs Upgrade through Professional and Specialized Ability Development” initiative. This program aims to increase job opportunities for Afghan refugees, stateless individuals, asylum seekers, and youth by providing vocational skill development training and internship opportunities. Over the years, NAVTTC & UNHCR have successfully conducted vocational and technical skills training for Cohorts A, B, C, and D from 2019-2022, benefiting over 6,500 refugees and youth across Pakistan. Throughout the training period, participants receive a monthly stipend of 3,000 PKR. Upon successful completion, they are equipped with toolkits and certificates to facilitate their career pursuits.
